The Opportunity:
Ever wanted to
travel and explore a new country while still progressing with your career? Ever
wanted a bit more time to travel outside of work or to focus on expanding your
knowledge?
We have a fully
equipped equine hospital in the heart of the thoroughbred breeding, racing and
equestrian community of New Zealand. We are well equipped with digital imaging
modalities, nuclear scintigraphy, video and dynamic endoscopy, modern theatre
and hospital facilities and service many of the top Thoroughbred trainer, studs,
and equestrian riders in New Zealand, as well as providing primary care for
much loved pleasure horses and ponies.
We are part of the
Altano International network of clinics and as such have excellent access to
continuing education and learning opportunities for our veterinarians. We have
a great team culture and very high expectations of the standards of care that
we offer.
New Zealand is an
incredible country to live in and explore. We can vouch for that as most of our
veterinary team came here from the Northern Hemisphere to work for a year and
could never bring themselves to leave! If you love the outdoor lifestyle, be it
hiking, water sports, skiing, fishing/hunting or the like then it is hard to
beat. Come for a year or come forever!

our team and have a permanent full-time position available for a motivated

will be an established support structure.
We typically have
two veterinarians on-call at weekends with one covering the hospital and the
other servicing ambulatory calls. We always have an experienced veterinarian
attending foalings, in addition to the on-call veterinarian.
The successful

cases and make decisions in the majority of cases on their own, but there is a
support network and advice available.
